Two problems with Bush as mourner in chief (an unpublished letter to the NYTimes)

To the Editor

There are two problems with having President Bush speak as the nation's mourner in chief following the Virginia Tech massacre. The first is his life long commitment to regulation free gun ownership. The second is that as a direct and foreseeable result of his disastrous, dishonest, preemptive war, 30 massacres is just another day in Baghdad.
