BREAKING NEWS CHRISTIE ENDORSES TRUMP

.
Here is an excerpt from Governor Christies speech

When I recently returned to New Jersey to resume being Governor I knew something didn't feel right and I had to act. It was not just that I got lost trying to find the Governor's mansion. It was something deeper. People have accused me of being a thin skinned egomaniac bully just because I shut down the George Washington Bridge and I 95 when the Mayor of Fort Lee would not endorse me. People who think that are wrong and can go fuck themselves. Im not here just because Ted Cruz, an evangelical nut and Marco Rubio, who looks like a Mouseketeer, kicked my ass.  Im bigger than that  and will certainly get over it in 15 -20 years.  Im here today because as a nation I am sick and tired of having to listen to a President who speaks softly, gets along with people and tries to avoid conflict while solving problems.  That has got to stop. This country needs more bloviating, arrogant large guys who will say whatever is on their minds at any given moment and threaten do whatever it is they feel like threatening to do regardless of consequences.America needs a man who knows how to hire illegal aliens to build golf courses and hotels.America needs a President who can stick his lower lip out so far that if necessary in an emergency a bird could land there.
Remember – As we say in the Garden State
We need to make America  Whateva Again.

BULLET REVIEW - ANGEL REAPERS

BULLET REVIEW - Angel Reapers Signature Theatre Company
When this horrible play ended last night I felt like I had been incarcerated for 70 minutes and then released by the Innocence Project thanks to a DNA sample.
Amazingly Laura Collins-Hughes of the NY Times loved it and wrote;
"But it’s the twinning of euphoria and anguish that makes “Angel Reapers” quietly glorious."
Huh?
Tortured souls with barely comprehensible, disconnected, back stories trapped in a religious furniture making cult that eventually went out of business. Their demise might have been related to the "intercourse is verboten" rule.
OK there is some interesting, sometimes acrobatic, dancing and thank the lord for, an all too brief, topless sex scene but last night this was my bed time prayer. "God - I nap through so many plays - why not this one?"

BULLET REVIEW - THE ROYALE

I really wanted to love The Royale by Marco Ramirez now in previews at Lincoln Center’s Mitzie Newhouse. The play tells a story of boxing and race in the early 1900’s. The plot is drawn from the “Fight of the Century” in 1910 when the white heavyweight champ James Jeffries was defeated by Jack Johnson and the country erupted into bloody race riots. The Playbill is silent about this history.

I was rooting for the wonderful actors who poured out their blood, sweat and tears onto the beautifully recreated , era evoking, wooden boxing ring but the flawed arc of the story left me hungry.

Khris Davis gives an outstanding, multilayered performance as Jay Johnson the black champ waging his own soul tormenting fight for respect and recognition in turn of the century America.
Davis has a fighter's body, stature and an emotional intensity that evokes a memory of a young Mohammed Ali. Clarke Peters, admired by fans of the Wire plays his manager, father figure with even tempered gravitas and a boxing back story of his own.

The play starts with a uniquely choreographed fight between Jay and Fish, a talented young wannabe. The fighters who are positioned apart from each other reel from punches marked by the sharp crack of the ring corner posts set being raised and dropped. McKinley Belcher III plays the wannabe with an engaging vulnerability of kid who escapes from his day job in a shipyard to become Johnson’s sparring partner.

Here’s my complaint. The story of the champ’s ultimately unbeatable foe –  Jim Crow-  does not take off until almost ¾ of the way through the play when we meet his sister Nina played forcefully by Montego Glover. Her commanding presence is the first glimpse of the dangerous reality of a black contender taking on the white crown holder and the direct threat to himself and the safety of his family back home.

There was no intermission but there was a distinct first and second act that needed a deeper organic connection.

CHANGING DOCS AND INTERVIEWING DR. TRUMP

My doctor, Dr. Obama, is retiring at the end of the year.  I decided to interview one of the  guys who wants to take over his practice -  Dr. Trump. I took some notes.
Can you tell me a little about your background and qualifications?
Well first let me tell you about my patients. They are unbelievable and I actually think they like me a lot. People said to me forget about medical school. Then suddenly I got in. I learned so much at that place.
Do you have a philosophy?
I will knock the hell out of the big diseases,  heart disease, cancer - forget about them – gone! Im going to keep you healthy the old fashioned way. We are going to start winning again and beat the hell out of those risk factors. Those risks are just not going to happen any more ok  -finished they are done. The greatest doctors in the world call me all the time because they know that I know what Im talking about.
All of your doctors before me were stupid loser hacks.  I am going to make you so healthy so fast you will not believe it.

Here’s the way it works I will just stop you from getting sick. We have to stop it and believe me I will stop it. So look, in a nutshell, Im going to make you so strong, so powerful so healthy no illness is going to mess with you, believe me – not one.
What about the arthritis in my knee?

The problem is most doctors are losers who don’t win anything. With me as your doctor I will make  your knee great again. Believe it or not, it's not even a difficult thing to do.
People say to me Dr. Trump please do something to keep me from being sick I tell them  diseases? It's a huge problem. I will work like hell to take care of the situation.  By the way I looked at your lab reports.  Your cholesterol numbers are completely phony. It's much worse than they are telling you.

With me as your doctor I will have the best people figuring out what’s going on. Top notch people – believe me  and I am going  to end all the big diseases. One two three,  I will end them that’s it no more. With me as your doctor you will have an immune system like you just would not believe. Trust me.

I got up and he walked me into the waiting room where people put down their magazines and started chanting
Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump...
He said- this is so beautiful. What a group of people.
You know, and on top of this group we have thousands of people outside that can't even get in. That's what we have. Thousands of people.
 Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump. Trump...

I am the greatest doctor that God ever created. Remember that.

I stopped on the way home to buy a Valentines Day card to send to Dr. Obama.
